About
I'm Anthony Clarke, a 3rd generation carpenter from Louth. I started training with my father when I was 16, doing all aspects of carpentry such as new roofs, attic conversions and interior work. I started Clarke's Carpentry Services in 2021 and now I specialise in fitted furniture, interior carpentry work and garden projects.

Fitted wardrobes
This client from The Quay, Dundalk, was looking for two bespoke wardrobes, one unit in a bedroom and one unit at the top of the stairs. She showed us a photograph of the style she was looking for (shaker style doors) and we discussed the layout. The paint choosen was Moonlight Grey from Fleetwood Paints.

TV media wall unit
This client from Marlmount Court, Dundalk, (near Blackrock, Co. Louth), wanted a TV media wall unit with an electric fire and floating shelves for his living room. We created a fake chimney breast to install the electric fire and TV. In order to maximise the space, the unit was built on a wall beside a door, so he could use the longer opposite wall for his sofas. The wall and shelves were painted with Dulux Vanilla Mist.
Bespoke bookcase
This Oak veneer bookcase was made for a client in Haggardstown, Dundalk, Co. Louth. The Oak veneer was first treated with Barrettime Danish Oil, then we applied Ronseal Clear Matt oil based varnish. We installed brass bookcase strips to allow the client to adjust the shelves height.
Custom made beds
This client from Ard Na Carriag, Lis Na Dara, Dundalk, Co. Louth, wanted to maximise the space in two of her bedrooms with custom made beds. In the first bedroom, we built the bed (with storage at the bottom) alongside a wall that has an alcove and added a shelving unit into the alcove. In the second bedroom, we built the shelving unit above the headboard as the head of the stairs was on the ground. The material used was Roble Palma melamine by Finsa Ireland.
